Basketball Recap: Stewartville's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Stewartville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 47 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 67-53 victory over the Faribault Falcons. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Falcons back in February, they had to take a 81-76 loss.

Stewartville pushed their record up to 22-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.0 points over those games. As for Faribault, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-9.

Coming up, Stewartville will face off against Byron at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Byron's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 contests. Faribault does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
