Basketball Game Preview: Clear Creek Wildcats vs. Deer Park Deer

The Clear Creek Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Deer Park Deer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Clear Creek came up short against Dickinson and fell 54-43. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Deer Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 63-41 to Clear Falls. While losing is never fun, the Deer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 477th, while the Knights are ranked 193rd).

Clear Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Deer Park, their loss dropped their record down to 11-14.

Clear Creek strolled past Deer Park in their previous matchup back in November of 2023 by a score of 47-30. Will Clear Creek repeat their success, or does Deer Park have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
