Volleyball Recap: Trego Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Trego can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rawlins County Buffaloes on Monday. The Golden Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured nine losses in a row.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Rawlins County scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21.

Tegan Lang paced Trego's offense, picking up five kills. Lang got some help from Maura Albers and her eight assists.

Trego's loss dropped their record down to 11-23. As for Rawlins County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-13 record this season.

Trego didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Sterling on the 20th. As for Rawlins County, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Medicine Lodge on the 20th.
