Recap: Punxsutawney Chucks vs. Redbank Valley Bulldogs
After a string of four wins, the Punxsutawney Chucks's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Redbank Valley on the road and fell 65-37. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Punxsutawney has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Redbank Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ty Carrier, who scored 18 points. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for him. Mason Clouse was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Punxsutawney's defeat dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Redbank Valley, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Punxsutawney will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Elk County Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on December 22nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Elk County Catholic is ranked 64th, while Punxsutawney is ranked 78th). Redbank Valley will be home for the holidays to greet Freeport at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
