Basketball Recap: Vinton's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Vinton came into Friday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past the DeQuincy Tigers with a 34-28 win on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Vinton's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-14. As for DeQuincy, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with the loss, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vinton has already played their next game (against East Beauregard), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the DeQuincy Tigers face off against the Pine Prairie Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
