Atlantic Shores Christian has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against The Fredericksburg Christian Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Friday, Atlantic Shores Christian had to suffer through a rough 55-19 loss at the hands of Blue Ridge.
Meanwhile, Fredericksburg Christian suffered a tough 42-22 loss at the hands of Fork Union Military Academy on Friday. Fredericksburg Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Fredericksburg Christian got a solid performance out of Christian Ray, who rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.
Atlantic Shores Christian's defeat also dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Fredericksburg Christian, their loss also dropped their record down to an identical 5-2.
Atlantic Shores Christian skirted past Fredericksburg Christian 17-14 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Atlantic Shores Christian since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
