Baseball Recap: Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Central Wisconsin Christian Crusaders on Tuesday as they made off with an 11-1 win. The victory was nothing new for the Resorters as they're now sitting on three straight.

Brennen Goble made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Ethan Fromm was incredible, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cole Wagner, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Central Wisconsin Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Coming up, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah will head out to square off against Manitowoc Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Resorters' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lancers have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Central Wisconsin Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Kenosha Christian Life at 5:30 p.m.
