Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Tavares walked away with it. They came out on top against the Citrus Hurricanes by a score of 6-2 on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on six straight.

Emersyn Lee was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs.

In other batting news, Jasmine Lawrence was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Tavares' record now sits at 12-7. As for Citrus, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tavares beat the Hurricanes by a score of 6-2 later that day.
