Baseball Recap: Kingston Comes Up Short

Kingston fell victim to North Kitsap and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The Buccaneers have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Kingston saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chayton Walker, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Walker is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Kingston's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for North Kitsap, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: North Kitsap beat Kingston by a score of 9-0 on Wednesday.
