New Plymouth found a leader in Makiah Weideman as the team took down Marsing on Wednesday. Weideman turned in her biggest game of the season, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Weideman and New Plymouth will take on Fruitland at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
