Recap: St. Frances Academy Panthers vs. Pallotti Panthers
The St. Frances Academy Panthers's game on Monday was all tied up 31-31 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 57-45 to Pallotti. St. Frances Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Pallotti apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.
Despite the defeat, St. Frances Academy had strong showings from Dahni Suggs, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds, and Amora Alston, who scored eight points along with six steals.
St. Frances Academy's defeat ended a eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-3. As for Pallotti, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Frances Academy is on the road again on Thursday and play against McDonogh at 5:30 p.m. on December 14th. McDonogh knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully St. Frances Academy likes a good challenge. As for Pallotti, they will head out on the road to face off against Mercy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Mercy is ranked 30th, while Pallotti is ranked 42nd).
