Softball Recap: Rubidoux Comes Up Short

Rubidoux made up a huge gap compared to their last game against La Sierra, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Falcons fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 6-4 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost nine in a row.

Rubidoux saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Macaulay, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Julianna Chavez was another, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Rubidoux's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for La Sierra, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-17.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Rubidoux will take on rival Jurupa Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, La Sierra is set to challenge their familiar foe Ramona at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
