The Rocksprings Angoras are on the road again on Thursday and plays the Calvert Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on February 22nd. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
With a playoff game on the line, Rocksprings rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tigers 85-53 on the road. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Rocksprings just coasted through the last quarter.
Rocksprings' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ty Hendley led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hendley has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Waelder scored an imposing 55 points on Monday, Calvert still came out on top. Calvert put the hurt on Waelder with a sharp 80-55 win.
Rocksprings has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season. As for Calvert, their win bumped their record up to 18-9.
