Ruston managed to slip by Pineville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bearcats lost 8-0 to the Rebels on Tuesday. The Bearcats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Ruston now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Pineville, they pushed their record up to 21-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Ruston will host Neville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pineville, they will be playing at home against Alexandria at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.35 runs per game on average), something the Rebels will no doubt try to take advantage of.
