Baseball Recap: Eaglecrest Falls Short of Castle View in the Playoffs

Eaglecrest and Castle View squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Eaglecrest had to settle for second. They lost 13-2 to the Sabercats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raptors of the 5-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2019.

Eaglecrest saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Brennan, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Eaglecrest has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season. As for Castle View, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-6.

Eaglecrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Castle View, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-1 victory against Pine Creek on the 17th.
