Cinco Ranch has gone a perfect 10-0 against Mayde Creek recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Rams at 6:15 p.m.

Cinco Ranch is headed into the match having just suffered their closest loss since March 26, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Tompkins by a score of 3-1. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Mayde Creek got the win against Morton Ranch on Tuesday by a conclusive 14-3. Considering the Rams have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Shy'Lynn Brown was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Brown was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three).

In other batting news, Eva Tyler was a standout: she scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Alexia Ruiz, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Mayde Creek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive contests.

Mayde Creek's record is now 11-8. As for Cinco Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15.

Cinco Ranch came out on top in a nail-biter against Mayde Creek in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
