Preview: McDonald County vs. Monett
On Friday McDonald County take on Monett at Monett at 7:00 PM. McDonald County are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the match prepared for a fight.
We expected McDonald County to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked Lamar last Friday, and they did. McDonald County found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 13-45 punch to the gut against Lamar. McDonald County were down by 7-39 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Monett, but their most recent game may have softened the blow. They blew past East Newton 35-6.
Monett's win lifted them to 2-5 while McDonald County's loss dropped them down to 3-4. We'll find out if Monett can add another positive mark to their record or if McDonald County can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Monett's step.
