Softball Recap: Whitmire Sets Scoring Season-High Against Thornwell

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whitmire). They put the hurt on the Thornwell Saints with a sharp 21-3 win on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wolverines needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Whitmire's record is now 7-1. As for Thornwell, they dropped their record down to 2-1 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Whitmire will welcome Lewisville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lewisville will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Whitmire surely won't give up without a fight. As for Thornwell, they are taking a road trip to challenge McCormick on Friday.
