Softball Recap: Poplarville Finds Home Field Redemption Against D'iberville

There's no place like home for Poplarville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the D'Iberville Warriors by a score of 7-3 on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Poplarville pushed their record up to 13-8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for D'Iberville, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Coincidentally, Poplarville and D'Iberville will both be playing St. Patrick the next time they take the field. The Warriors will host the Fighting Irish at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, while the Hornets will play them later in the day, at 2:15 p.m.
