Basketball Game Preview: Lutheran North Crusaders vs. Whitfield Warriors

Lutheran North is 2-8 against Whitfield since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Lutheran North Crusaders are taking a road trip to take on the Whitfield Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lutheran North is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Principia and fell 74-24. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 391st, while the Panthers are ranked 24th).

Meanwhile, Whitfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt a 49-17 loss at the hands of Burroughs. The match marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lutheran North's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Whitfield, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Lutheran North was able to grind out a solid win over Whitfield when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 51-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lutheran North since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
