Soccer Game Preview: R.J. Reynolds vs. Davie

The R.J. Reynolds Demons are taking a road trip to face off against the Davie War Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

R.J. Reynolds will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Thursday, then bounced right back against Reagan on Monday. The Demons were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Raiders. The win continues a trend for R.J. Reynolds in their matchups with Reagan: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Davie kept a clean sheet against Glenn on Monday. They put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 4-0 victory. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Davie's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Glenn are ranked 357th).

The win made it two in a row for Davie and bumps their season record up to 11-4-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those two matches. As for R.J. Reynolds, their win bumped their record up to 9-7-3.
