Volleyball Recap: Circle Gets the Win

Circle won the last time they faced St. Marys and things went their way on Saturday too. The Thunderbirds walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bears.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Circle took both sets by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-10.

Their offense was headlined by Lauren Swilley and Avery Wartick, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Cate Rogers and her 20 assists. Brianna Paul controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Circle's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for St. Marys, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-24.

Circle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Nemaha Central on the 27th. As for St. Marys, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Rock Creek on the 27th.
