Recap: Banner County Wildcats vs. Potter-Dix Coyotes

This season hasn't been kind to the Banner County Wildcats, who are still winless after their sixth match. They fell 55-46 to Potter-Dix on Friday. Banner County lost against Potter-Dix in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 89-44 score last time.

Despite the loss, Banner County had strong showings from Isaac Olsen, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds, and Brendyn Onstott, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for him.

Even though they lost, Banner County were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Brayden Kasten continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Potter-Dix, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 11 steals. The matchup was Kasten's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Gasseling, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Banner County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Potter-Dix, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Banner County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Edgemont at 1:00 p.m. on December 16th. Hopefully Edgemont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday. Potter-Dix will be home for the holidays to greet Minatare on Tuesday.
