Basketball Recap: Pikesville Piles Up the Points Against Woodlawn

Pikesville won the last time they faced Woodlawn and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pikesville Panthers took their game with ease, bagging a 70-9 win over the Woodlawn Warriors. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Pikesville found their leader in sophomore Ka'Nai Pyatt, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 19 points and five rebounds. What's more, Pyatt also posted a 56% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Aniyah Nelson was another key player, going 5-for-9 on her way to 11 points along with five boards and four steals.

Pikesville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 28 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Pikesville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 44.1 points. Woodlawn is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.
