Preview: Kell Longhorns vs. Northview Titans
The Kell Longhorns will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Northview Titans at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Kell took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 59-32 victory over the Cougars.
Meanwhile, Northview can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Centennial 53-25 on the road. Given Northview's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Knights are ranked 373rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kell is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-12 record this season. As for Northview, their win bumped their record up to 17-6.
Kell suffered a grim 53-31 defeat to the Titans in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Northview's Milan Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Now that Kell knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
