Baseball Game Preview: South Summit Wildcats vs. American Leadership Academy Eagles

For the second straight game, South Summit will face off against American Leadership Academy. The Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Summit has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

South Summit lost 16-9 to American Leadership Academy on Friday. Even though they lost, the Wildcats' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

For American Leadership Academy's part, Daxen Stream was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Coxson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: American Leadership Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matchups.

American Leadership Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for South Summit, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.
