Preview: Millersburg Indians vs. Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy WolfPack
The Millersburg Indians will head out on the road to square off against the Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy WolfPack at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Millersburg focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
Last Friday, Millersburg came up short against East Juniata and fell 43-35. Millersburg has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Chase Romberger, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. He is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kamdyn Heintzelman, who scored 11 points along with five assists and three steals.
Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They were beaten by Halifax 73-37. While losing is never fun, Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 693rd, while Halifax is ranked 306th).
Millersburg's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 5-9. As for Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy, they have fallen quite a ways from their 18-9 record last season and are now at 3-9.
Millersburg came up short against Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 73-65. Can Millersburg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
