DeKalb lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Waubonsie Valley, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's contest. The Barbs blew past the Warriors 12-2 on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Barbs have won by exactly ten runs.

DeKalb's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Cassidy Cavazos, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run. Cavazos is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

DeKalb has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Waubonsie Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 13-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Warriors beat DeKalb by a score of 12-2 later that day.
