Basketball Recap: Comp Sci Piles Up the Points Against Classical Magnet

Comp Sci was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Classical Magnet on Tuesday. The Eagles breezed past the Gladiators to the tune of 47-14. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 28 points or more this season.

Leading Comp Sci to victory were Christina Chapman and DeMya Barrett. Chapman posted 16 points and five steals, while Barrett had 13 points in addition to six assists and four steals. Chapman has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last seven times she's played. Anari Stewart was another key player, putting up six points.

Comp Sci's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7. As for Classical Magnet, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Comp Sci will host Hale Ray at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Classical Magnet, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Capital Prep/Classical Magnet/Achievement First at 4:30 p.m.
