Basketball Recap: Columbia Adventist Academy Comes Up Short

Columbia Adventist Academy was the 68-64 winner over Wahkiakum when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Columbia Adventist Academy Kodiaks took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wahkiakum Mules on Saturday.

Despite the loss, Columbia Adventist Academy still got an impressive performance from Tristan White, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. White is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down ten or more in each of the last five games he's played. Evan Akrawi was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Columbia Adventist Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

Columbia Adventist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Wahkiakum, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.

Columbia Adventist Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-50 defeat against Sound Christian on the 25th. Wahkiakum does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
