Basketball Recap: BASIS - Mesa Makes It Seven in a Row on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask BASIS - Mesa). They put the hurt on the Berean Academy Eagles with a sharp 69-44 victory on Tuesday. BASIS - Mesa has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 25 points or more this season.

BASIS - Mesa's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joey Frivaldo, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 assists. Frivaldo is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Cristian Muniz was another key player, going 10 for 21 on his way to 27 points and three steals.

BASIS - Mesa's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.4 points. As for Berean Academy, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. BASIS - Mesa will venture away from home to take on Ville de Marie Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Berean Academy, they will head out to challenge Arizona Cultural Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
