Smithville hasn't lost a match since August 19th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Lake Center Christian Tiger. This was payback for Smithville, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Kalen Indermuhle, who's now up to five this season.

Smithville's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matches. As for Lake Center Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Smithville will host Chippewa at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Center Christian, they will face off against Kenston at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
