Softball Recap: Porter Takes a Loss

Porter fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Crosby on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Crosby Cougars by a score of 2-1. The Spartans have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meetings.

Porter's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6-1. As for Crosby, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Porter will look to defend their home field on Thursday against West Fork at 6:00 p.m. West Fork's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Porter's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Crosby, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Crosby Cougars challenge Splendora Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
