Baseball Recap: Wheaton North Takes a Loss

It was a classic North v. South duel when Wheaton North took on Wheaton-Warrenville South on Monday. The Falcons fell 11-6 to the Tigers. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Wheaton North has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13-1 record this season. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, they pushed their record up to 8-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Wheaton North will face off against Geneva at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, they will challenge Lake Park at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
