Basketball Recap: Spanish Fork Dons vs. Maple Mountain Golden Eagles

The Spanish Fork Dons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They fell 65-55 to Maple Mountain. Spanish Fork has not had much luck with the Golden Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite the loss, Spanish Fork still got an impressive performance from Aaron Dunn, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Leatherwood, who scored nine points along with four steals.

Maple Mountain's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Matt Peterson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bennett Averett, who scored 12 points.
