Softball Recap: Cahokia Takes a Loss

Cahokia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 31st straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 15-0 to the Granite City Warriors. The Comanches were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

Cahokia's record now sits at 0-14. As for Granite City, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cahokia will venture away from home to face off against Mt. Vernon at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Granite City, they will head out to take on Alton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Redbirds have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.74 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
