Volleyball Recap: Patton Gets the Win

Patton won the last time they faced East Rutherford and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers came out on top against the Cavaliers by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Patton walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 20-25, 25-13, 25-18.

Hannah Huggins paced Patton's offense, picking up 15 kills. Huggins got some help from Soraya Hartman and her 18 assists. Hartman also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Carly Setterlind, each putting up three.

Patton's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for East Rutherford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Patton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Freedom on the 6th. As for East Rutherford, they will challenge East Burke at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
