Perry posted their closest win since March 2, 2024 on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Chaparral Firebirds 7-6. This was payback for the Pumas, who suffered a 13-10 defeat the last time these two teams met.

CC Hall was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Madeline Murphy, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

The victory got Perry back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Perry is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Highland at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Chaparral, they will take on Corona del Sol at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
