It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Santa Barbara had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took down the Canyon Comanches 84-70. The Dons are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 12 straight.

Despite the loss, Canyon still got an impressive performance from Brandon Benjamin, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 42.9% of Canyon's points, marking the 16th time in a row Benjamin has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Staf Yilmazturk, who scored 16 points.

Santa Barbara's win bumped their record up to 25-5. As for Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-10.

Looking ahead, Santa Barbara will face off against Mater Dei at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mater Dei is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 70.2 points per game this season. Canyon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
