Preview: East Dragons vs. Archbishop Hoban Knights

The East Dragons will head out on the road to face off against the Archbishop Hoban Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: East has struggled recently with ten losses in a row, while Archbishop Hoban will arrive with five straight victories.

Last Tuesday, East suffered a tough 64-41 defeat at the hands of Marlington. East was down 52-32 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Green typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Archbishop Hoban proved too difficult a challenge. They enjoyed a cozy 64-45 win over the Bulldogs.

Archbishop Hoban's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but James Mccarthy led the charge by scoring 15 points along with three blocks and two steals. It was the first time this season that Mccarthy scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonas Nichols, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

East has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Archbishop Hoban, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6.
