Windham extends road winning streak to four

Recap: Windham Whippets vs. Plainfield Panthers

The Windham Whippets came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They greeted the New Year with with a 46-28 win over Plainfield. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Windham has scored all season.

Windham found their leader in underclassman Zoee Robins, who scored 13 points along with four steals. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Hailey Flores, who scored seven points along with three steals.

Windham pushed their record up to 6-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Plainfield, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2.

Windham will take on Griswold at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Plainfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Ledyard at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ledyard is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
