Volleyball Game Preview: Gregory Gorillas vs. Kimball/White Lake Wildkats

Gregory hasn't had much luck against Kimball/White Lake recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Gorillas will take on the Wildkats at 6:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Thursday, Gregory came up short against Burke and fell 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 27-29, 25-14, 25-8.

Meanwhile, Kimball/White Lake lost 3-0 to Sanborn Central/Woonsocket on Thursday. The Wildkats haven't had much luck with the Blackhawks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14, 25-18.

Gregory will have to keep a close watch on Sienna Gillen and Mariah Gosmire, a pair of players who had a big impact on Kimball/White Lake's prior game. Gillen had 20 digs and one assist, while Gosmire had four digs and three blocks.

Gregory's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Kimball/White Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 6-20.

Gregory couldn't quite get it done against Kimball/White Lake in their previous matchup back in August of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Gorillas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
