Football Recap: Destiny Christian Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Destiny Christian Academy had lost three straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 8-3 to make it four. They fell 20-7 to the Rio Linda Knights. The match marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Mckayla Fulmer threw for 152 yards on 16 of 35 attempts. Amara Knowles was her top target, picking up 51 receiving yards.

As for Rio Linda, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.8 points on average over those games.

The critical scores for Rio Linda came from Faith Fountain, Isabel Rodrigues-Fuata, and Audrina Mendoza.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Destiny Christian Academy will challenge El Camino at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rio Linda, they will face off against Dixon at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least 31 points in their last eight games.
