Baseball Recap: Freedom Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Freedom Prep Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 16 on Monday, dropping them down to 0-3. They lost 18-3 to the Utah Military Academy - Hill Field Thunderbirds. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 9-0 to the Thunderbirds when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Utah Military Academy - Hill Field, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Fans of they have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

For Utah Military Academy - Hill Field's part, Jared Visage made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Visage was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in August of 2024.

Coming up, Freedom Prep Academy will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on American Heritage at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Utah Military Academy - Hill Field will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' contest: after the Eagles face off against the Patriots, they'll take on Utah Military Academy - Hill Field again at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
