Basketball Recap: Fairview Comes Up Short

Fairview played a tough match on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 70-50 to the Paulding Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Apaches can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 463rd, while the Panthers are ranked 192nd).

Paulding got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Addi Pease out in front who went 7 for 12 to rack up 20 points. That's the most points Pease has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tori Schlatter, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Fairview and nudges their season record down to 7-15. As for Paulding, their win bumped their record up to 16-5.

Fairview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Paulding, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Panthers duke it out with the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
