Football Recap: Agua Fria Falls Despite Big Games from Taj Smith II and Adrian Leyva + How To Watch

Agua Fria was the 65-14 winner over Sierra Linda when they last played one another back in September of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Owls took a 31-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Thursday. Despite 105 more yards than the Bulldogs, the Owls couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Agua Fria's loss came despite strong showings from Adrian Leyva and Taj Smith II. Leyva picked up 147 receiving yards and a pair of scores, while Smith II threw for 246 yards and two touchdowns.

Agua Fria dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Sierra Linda, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Agua Fria has already played their next contest, a 26-0 win against Yuma on the 10th. As for Sierra Linda, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-18 defeat against Desert Sunrise on the 10th.
