Basketball Recap: Cedar Creek Skates Past Crockett with Ease

There's no place like home for Cedar Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Crockett Cougars 85-44. The contest marked the Eagles' most dominant win of the season.

Cedar Creek had a senior duo take command as Kenji Franklin dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds and Phineas Koplin went 9 of 13 on his way to 23 points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave Koplin a new career-high in assists (four). Nomar Ruvalcaba was another key player, putting up ten points.

Cedar Creek now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Crockett, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-15.

Cedar Creek is taking a road trip to square off against Bastrop at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Cedar Creek is facing Bastrop at the right time seeing as Bastrop is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
