Basketball Recap: Reading Comes Up Short

Reading was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 71-39 loss at the hands of the Wyoming Cowboys. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 79-36 back in January.

Reading's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Wyoming, the win keeps them at an undefeated 18-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Reading will take on Finneytown at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Wyoming, they and St. Xavier will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
