The St. Johns Redskins are taking a road trip to face off against the Winslow Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Johns is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.6 runs per game this season.

Kyah Wilcox spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Angela Salazar was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

St. Johns' victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Winslow, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. St. Johns hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .406.
