Football Recap: Valley View Comes Up Short

Valley View started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Vista del Lago. They took a 14-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ravens on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled against the Ravens recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Jesse Vega threw for 128 yards on 11 of 21 attempts. Damien Randin was his top target, picking up 54 receiving yards.

Valley View's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Vista del Lago, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Valley View will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Colony at 7:00 p.m. on September 12. As for Vista del Lago, they will challenge Adelanto at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
